What Is Included
The Reflective edition includes an expanded Veritas-led memoir process, from private in-person interviews through editorial development, image and document curation, companion book development, design, production coordination, printing, and final presentation. The finished work is composed of a primary memoir and a companion book, Themes and Reflections.
The memoir carries the central life story in a large-format hardcover volume, incorporating a generous selection of photographs, documents, heirlooms, and archival materials throughout the narrative. The companion book offers a more intimate space for distilled reflections, values, life lessons, and thematic material that deepens the meaning of the memoir without interrupting its narrative arc.
Production and Presentation
Each set is produced in collaboration with master printers specializing in museum-quality, heirloom fabrication. Paper, binding, cover material, stamping, endpapers, and presentation details are selected to suit the edition and the character of the finished work.
The Reflective edition is presented as a coordinated two-volume set housed in a custom presentation box with an inner tray and magnetic closure.
When This Edition Is Appropriate
The Reflective edition is designed for a life story that invites both narrative and interpretation. It allows the memoir to remain focused and readable while giving the subject’s deeper reflections, values, and recurring themes their own dedicated volume. It is especially well suited to a private memoir intended not only to preserve what happened, but to pass down what was learned, understood, questioned, and valued.
Within the Veritas Editions
The Reflective edition moves beyond the single-volume structure of The Narrative by adding a companion book, Themes and Reflections. This second volume creates space for interpretive and reflective material that would be too substantial or disruptive within the memoir itself. The Archival extends the work further, incorporating a broader documentary and multi-voice structure for family histories, relationships, personal materials, and perspectives that require a more expansive architecture.
Commissions for the Reflective edition begin at $120,000. Final scope, production specifications, and presentation details are confirmed through the proposal process.
